CHICAGO- UIC athletics hosted about 50 Flames supporters Monday, July 20 for a Chicago White Sox outing.

The Flames group started the evening's festivities with pizza at Connie's, and then shuttled over to U.S. Cellular to watch the White Sox defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3. The South Siders overcame a ninth-inning rally by the Rays to take the win over Tampa Bay's David Price.

Revenue from the event will benifit UIC student-athletes. A similar outing, this time to the Northside to take in a Chicago Cubs game, is planned for July 30. To get tickets for the Cubs outing, contact Lisa Meindl at (312) 996-5874.
