LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Two second-half goals within a span of three minutes doomed the 19th-ranked UIC men's soccer team in a 2-0 loss to Kentucky at the U of L Invitational at Cardinal Park on Friday.

The Flames (0-2-1) and the Wildcats (3-0-0) engaged in a scoreless bout in the match's first 60 minutes until Kentucky's Matt Lodge sent a ball into the center of the box to find the noggin of Brad Walker, who sent a header that flew over the reach of Jovan Bubonja to scrape off the crossbar and into goal.

Two minutes later Chad Hagerty headed a cross from Tyler Burns and found the net for a dagger of a second marker.

The Flames' offense unleashed nine shots, including three on target that were stopped by Dan Williams.

Bubonja made three saves on the day for the Flames.

UIC meets host Louisville, ranked 17th in the country, this Sunday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. Central. The game will be televised live on Fox Soccer Channel.
