COLUMBUS, Ohio- Just two days after a strong home meet against Centenary, the UIC women's gymnastics team had to hit the road to face Big Ten opposition in the form of Ohio State and performed admirably on short rest at St. John Arena on Sunday.

Emily Fiorilli was edged for the beam victory after posting a season-best 9.750 that was only eclipsed by Ohio State's Rebecca Best, who turned in a meet-best 9.775 on the apparatus.

Fiorilli also paced the Flames on floor exercise with a 9.725 that ranked fifth.

Andrea Skala was UIC's leader on bars (9.675) and in the all-around (38.550).

Rachel Montoya led the Flames on vault with a fifth-place 9.625.

UIC posted a 191.750, the highest road score of the season for the Flames. The host Buckeyes posted a winning tally of 195.025.
