PERRYSBURG, Ohio - The UIC women's tennis team won their fourth straight match on Sunday, defeating Bowling Green 6-1 at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
In doubles play, Zlatka Petrova and Elena Antakova helped the Flames earned the point, winning their match against Katia Babina and Jade Johnson 8-5.
Ilinca Cristescu and Amy Jellish were also victorious in their doubles match, taking the match 8-6.
The Flames won five of their six singles matches.
Mariya Kovaleva recorded another singles win for the Flames, handling Christine Chiricosta in two sets 6-1, 6-1. The win gives Kovaleva six on the season.
Kristen McPhillips defeated Maddy Eccleston in two sets, McPhillips sweep the first set 6-0 and took the second set 6-4.
Petrova, Antakova, Cristescu, and Jellish rounded the day out for UIC, earning points in their singles matches.
The Flames will travel to El Paso, Texas to take on UTEP Quad on Friday March 5 at 1 p.m.
