The Flames closed out the first half of play on an 11-4 run, which included a three-point play by Dahnke to give UIC a 44-25 lead over the Lakers with just under five minutes left in the first stanza. Sophomore Kierra Robinson (Champaign, Ill./Champaign Central) closed out the first half of action with a jumper to give the Flames a hefty advantage (50-27) heading into the locker room, which marks the most points the Flames have score in a single half this season.
Bailey led all players in points in the first half with 13, while Dahnke tallied 11 points and pulled down six rebounds.
UIC outscored Roosevelt 14-8 to begin the second half as Bailey and Nix both added four points apiece. The Flames garnered a 29-point lead (60-31) with 13:59 left in the game.
Despite three consecutive treys from Roosevelt's Parhas, Foulks dialed up her brand of three-ball followed by back-to-back jump shots from Strickland and senior Shamiea Green (St. Louis/Normandy) for a 78-55 UIC lead, before closing the contest at 78-58.
