UIC Athletic Alums to Participate in Career Panel

CHICAGO - On Thursday night, the UIC LifeSkills program will feature alumni and supporters to provide insight and tips on career development in the inaugural "Flames Career Panel." The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the JST Events Center.

The event will feature a diverse panel presentation and a question & answer session with UIC athletic alumni, supporters and Chicagoland business professionals. Panelists will describe their career paths, offer resume and networking tips, answer questions and field inquiries from the panel moderator.

"Providing guidance to our student-athletes as they lay out their career path is a key aspect of the LifeSkills program at UIC," said Athletic Director Jim Schmidt. "We're grateful and excited to have the quality professionals and people who have agreed to serve on this panel. Former UIC student-athletes are a wonderful resource for current Flames."

The following panelists are scheduled to appear at the event:

JT Wilson (Men's Basketball alum) - Law
Nicholas Dudziak (Soccer alum) - Law
Danny Smith (Cross Country, Track & Field alum) - Author, reporter, public relations
Scott Curcio (Supporter) - Real Estate
Jody Bajor (Supporter) - Media Executive
Mike Magee (Swimming & Diving alum) - Engineering/architecture
Trevor Mathias (Hockey alum) - Finance
