2012 Horizon League Baseball Championship Bracket 
CHICAGO- The 2012 Horizon League Baseball Championship will take center stage at Les Miller Field, the home of UIC Baseball, from Wednesday-Saturday this week. The fourth-seeded Flames will kick off the action against No. 5 Butler Wednesday morning beginning at 11 a.m. CST.
The tournament is a double-elimination format, with the champion garnering an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Seeds for the tournament are as follows: No. 1 Valparaiso, No. 2 Wright State, No. 3 Milwaukee, No. 4 UIC, No. 5 Butler and No. 6 Youngstown State. The Crusaders and Raiders will both have byes into the second-round, which begins Thursday (May 24) afternoon.
The first games on Wednesday, May 23 will see the No's. 4 and 5 seeds play at 11:00 a.m. CST, with UIC and Butler getting the tournament underway. No. 3 Milwaukee and sixth-seeded Youngstown State will wrap up the day at 4:00 p.m. CST. The lowest remaining seed will draw Valparaiso on Thursday, with Wright State taking on the highest remaining seed. Losers of those games will play in elimination games at 8:00 p.m.
The Horizon League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament will be decided on Saturday, May 26, with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CST. If necessary, a second game will be played Sunday (May 27) at noon. Every game of the Horizon League Championship will be carried live on the Horizon League Network, with UIC baseball and softball voice Justin Weiner providing the call.

From the South: Take Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit off of Interstate 90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) and turn left at first stoplight, which is Roosevelt Road. Les Miller Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about two blocks west, once you exit the expressway. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building.
From the North: Take Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit off of Interstate 90/94 (Kennedy Expressway). At the second stoplight, which is Roosevelt Road, turn right. Les Miller Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building in "Lot 5."
From the West: Take Racine Avenue exit off of Interstate 290 (Eisenhower Expressway). Turn right at Racine and immediately make a left onto Harrison Street. Take Harrison Street to Halsted Street and turn right. Take Halsted Street about half a mile to Roosevelt Road. At Roosevelt Road turn right. Les Miller Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. ABOUT LES MILLER FIELD
The site of the MCC/Horizon League Baseball Championships in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2008, Les Miller Field has also made a name for itself as it has hosted the National Amateur All-Star Baseball Tournament on two occasions. Field dimensions are 330 feet down the left and right field lines, 401feet to straight away center field and 374 feet in the gaps.
The field is named after former baseball coach, Les Miller, who coached at UIC for 31 years, from 1949-1979. The lighted facility, which offers a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline, also features an enclosed, working press box, permanent seating for 1,000 spectators, an inning-by-inning scoreboard, a concession stand and heated restrooms.
