CHICAGO - The UIC athletic department held its annual golf outing on Thursday, June 7, at historic Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill. The sold out event featured over 130 participants with awards handed out for various skill competitions and raffle prizes. The big winner was David Peters, a UIC police officer, who took home an autographed baseball from Flames alumni and current New York Yankee Curtis Granderson, along with Sox vs. Yankees tickets.
The outing was scored as a scramble in sets of four with alumni, sponsors, supporters, coaches and staff members all taking part. The group of Jeff Garcia, Jim Burke, Neil Lizaso and Paul Ottolino secured the lowest tally of the day with a 59, representing Garco Enterprises.
Competition was followed with a reception and dinner in which various members of the outing spoke to group.
