MILWAUKEE, Wis - The UIC women's basketball team (9-19, 5-10) dropped its final regular season road contest at Milwaukee (9-18, 5-10) by a final score of 72-63 on Thursday night at the Klotsche Center. Junior Rachel Story led all scorers with 20 points, collecting her 10th 20-point effort of the season. She was joined in double figures by redshirt junior Katie Hannemann with 15 points and freshman Terri Bender with 11. Milwaukee and UIC are now tied for sixth place in the Horizon League standings.

The Panthers were paced by Ashley Green (18) and Emil Decorah (17) who combined for 35 points, while Sami Tucker pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds.

Milwaukee capitalized off UIC's miscues by scoring 38 points off of turnovers and second-chance opportunities. The Panthers sank five threes in the first half and held the Flames scoreless for the final 3:27 of the period. Milwaukee closed out the half on an 8-0 run and went into the locker ahead, 39-30.

Story paced the Flames with nine points at the break as UIC was efficient, hitting 13-of-26 (50.0%) form the floor.

Early in the second half the Flames mounted a 6-0 run to cut UWM's lead down to 39-36 by the 17:31 mark. Decorah broke UIC's momentum with a three pointer just 31 seconds later and the Flames would never get closer than four points for the rest of the night.

Sophomore Gisselle Truiett started her second straight game in the absence of senior Taylor Foulks, playing all 40 minutes and scoring eight points, both career-highs. Junior Emily Kobel came in off the bench with seven points, including a trey in the first half. Kobel leads the team with 47 made threes this season.

The Flames return home for its regular season finale against Loyola on Saturday with tip scheduled for 3 p.m. CT. The Ramblers are currently in a two-way tie for third place in the conference with a league record of 9-6. Saturday will also be Senior Day for Heidi Dahnke and Taylor Foulks.
