Pins Down for Pediatrics

CHICAGO - The UIC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is teaming up with the Children's Hospital University of Illinois to host "Pins Down for Pediatrics." The event will held Sunday (Oct. 18) from 1-5 p.m. at the UIC Student Center East (750 S Halsted St.) Bowling Alley, with proceeds benefiting the Children's Hospital Pediatrics Department and UIC Athletics.

"Pins Down for Pediatrics" was created to promote an active and healthy relationship between the student-athletes and the patients at the Children's Hospital. This was designed to let both the students and the patients come together for a fun "Pin Down" experience.

With a minimum donation of $25, participants will receive two games of bowling, bowling shoes and one raffle ticket. Sign up will be available for designated time slots of bowling, with five people per lane, once registration has been completed.

Following the event, Hawkeyes Bar & Grill (1458 W Taylor St.) will donate 15% of each customer's bill to the fundraiser.
