Final Results 
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The fourth seeded UIC women's tennis team stayed alive in the Horizon League Championship by collecting a 4-1 win against No. 5 Milwaukee on Friday at the Purdue University Schwartz Tennis Center. The Flames will face No. 1 Youngstown State in the semifinal round on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
The doubles point was awarded to the Panthers after they picked up two wins. Jackie Altansarnai and Ann-Sophie Hahn won the first match at No. 2 against Chelsea Bailey and Hayley Marshall, 6-1, their ninth of the year. Alysa Straub and Christina Colarossi then defeated Keti Mebuke and Oana Manole, 6-2, at No. 1 to even the count.
The deciding match went down to No. 3, which went to the tiebreaker before Dana Shannon and Mardee Merar produced the 7-6 (2) win against Bianca Zuzu and Melika LeBlanc.
UIC headed into singles to pull away with four straight-set victories and the win. Mebuke took her 12th victory at No. 1 against Bailey, 6-4, 6-0, and LeBlanc collected her 10th win with a 6-3, 6-2 result at No. 6 versus Merar.
Hahn knotted her 12th season victory at No. 4 against Straub, 6-4, 6-2, before Manole clinched the match with her eighth win at No. 3 to Shannon, 7-5, 6-4.
Altansarnai and Zuzu had each of their matches go unfinished while in their respective third sets.
Youngstown State received a first-round bye with the top seed in the bracket of six competing teams. On April 18, the Penguins handed the Flames a 4-3 loss.
