CHICAGO –
The UIC men's soccer team (4-5-3) will play its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday night when it heads to Evanston, Ill., for a 7 p.m. CT tilt against Big Ten's Northwestern (2-8-1) at Martin Stadium.

The Flames are coming off a 2-2 tie against Detroit Mercy (Oct. 8) at Flames Field, as they fought back from being down twice before the game was decided in double overtime. Mike Jimenez scored the first equalizer and Max Todd converted on a penalty kick to knot the score again, as Todd also added an assist to continue his five-game point streak. The Flames recorded their third-straight 20-plus shot game with 28 attempts, led by Jimenez with a career-high six.

Todd has scored in four of the last five games as he leads UIC with six goals on the year, followed by Jose Fuentes with four as the pair make up more than half of the team's 16 goals. Todd additionally boasts a team-high five assists, 36 shots and 19 shots on goal, with Fuentes (28) and Oscar Gonzalez as the only other players with more than 20 shots.

Andrew Putna has collected three shutouts this season as he has made 30 saves and acquired a 1.48 goals-against-average.

Northwestern comes into the match having last faced UCF (Oct. 5) in Orlando and falling short in a 1-0 final. Its two wins on the year came in its season opener against Florida Gulf Coast, 2-1, and most recently against Michigan, 2-1 (2OT).

The Wildcats have scored eight goals with Elo Ozumba, Jeffrey Hopson and Brandon Medina leading the charge as they own two apiece. Eight assists have also been added with two each from Mike Roberge, Camden Buescher and Nathan Dearth. Roberge (17), Ozumba (15), Hopson (11) and Buescher (11) are the lone players in double digits with their shot attempts as Northwestern has 92 total.

Goalkeeping duties for Northwestern have been split between Francisco Tomasino (1.89 GAA), Robbie White (0.00 GAA) and Braden Thursaisingham (0.00 GAA), with Tomasino earning more than 900 minutes as he makes up 43 of the 51 saves.

The Flames own a 12-9-1 record in the all-time series with the Wildcats and a mark of 6-4-0 in games played on the road. Last season, it was Northwestern to come away with the 2-1 win in double overtime at Flames Field.
