CHICAGO – UIC sophomore midfielder
Rebeca Pallo has been named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. It is her first career weekly honor and just the second in program history for the Flames after
Madison Pollard earned the defensive accolade last season.

UIC went 1-0-0 this past week with the assistance of Pallo as it captured a 2-1 victory at Cleveland State (Oct. 8) to improve to 3-2-0 in the Horizon League. It was the first road win of the season for the Flames and their fourth in the last five games. After being down 1-0,
Naomi Rushe scored the equalizer before Pallo came up with the game-winning goal.

Pallo's goal marked her sixth of the year and fourth in the last five games, while it was also her fifth game-winner which ranks in a tie for sixth most in the nation. She additionally put up two shots in the game and had both reach on goal.

The Milwaukee, Wis., native has led consistently led UIC throughout the season and set program marks along the way as her goals (6), points (13) and game-winners (5) are the most by any player in a single season.

Pallo will join the Flames as they return home Saturday to host Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. CT at Flames Field.
