Youngstown, Ohio - UIC (12-16, 3-14 HL) finished the road portion of the Horizon League schedule with a 62-41 loss at Youngstown State (18-9, 9-7 HL) on Sunday afternoon. The Flames have lost five in a row and seven of the last eight games.

The Flames held a brief lead in the first period at 8-7 and quickly found themselves playing from behind the rest of the game. Youngstown led 12-11 after the first period, 29-17 at halftime and stretched their lead to 21 points in the second half. UIC shot 18-51 (35.3%) from the field including 1-10 (10%) from beyond the three point stripe. Ruvanna Campbell was the only player in double figures for UIC as she posted her 20th double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds.

The loss was the fifth straight for the Flames who concluded the Horizon League road portion with a 2-7 record. UIC laces up the shoes for the last time at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday at 3 p.m. against Valparaiso in the finale home game of the 2016 season. Prior to the game UIC will honor the five seniors for their commitment and service to the program.
