CHICAGO - Senior forward Ruvanna Campbell (Chicago, Ill./Crane) has been selected to the All-Horizon League First Team and All-Defensive Team as announced by the conference office today.

This is the third year in a row Campbell has been named to the All-League First Team and All-Defensive Team. The past two seasons Campbell earned Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year accolades.

The 6-foot-3 senior led the Flames with 18.2 ppg and 13.5 rpg while posting 21 double-doubles in 29 games. Her 13.5 rebound per game average ranks fourth nationllay. Campbell is the all-time leading rebounder in UIC history with 1,264 caroms and needs 13 rebounds to break the Horizon League career record. Campbell garnered Player of the Week honors once this season (Feb. 8-14) after scoring a career-best 32 points and pulling down 18 rebounds at Oakland.

The Flames open the first round of the Horizon League postseason tournament Thursday at 5:00 pm CT against Wright State in Green Bay, Wis. UIC enters the tourney as the #10 seed, its lowest seeding in school history.
