CHICAGO – The UIC men's soccer team (1-4-1, 1-0-0 HL) will be seeking its second Horizon League win of the season Saturday when it goes up against Wright State (3-3-0, 0-1-0 HL) at Alumni Field in Dayton, Ohio. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT.
UIC hits the road following a 4-0 loss at DePaul's Wish Field on Sept. 14. The Flames took seven shots in the match with five on goal from
Jose Fuentes (2),
Dimitris Silvestridis,
Max Todd and
Ricky Pimentel.
Sokratis Vasilas earned his first collegiate minutes and made five saves.
This season, UIC has produced 58 shots and scored five goals off of its efforts. Fuentes (9), Todd (8) and
Oscar Gonzalez (8) have put up the most shots, with Todd reaching a team-high five on goal. Todd additionally leads the team with six points, ranking third in the Horizon League, with two goals and two assists. Fuentes,

The Flames will be without starting goalkeeper
Andrew Putna in Saturday's contest after he was issued a red card against DePaul. The team will be looking toward Vasilas, who played 78 minutes against the Blue Demons.
Wright State returns home after two road losses against Green Bay, 1-0, and Bowling Green, 2-0. Its wins on the year have come against Portland, Cincinnati and Duquesne.
The Raiders own the Horizon League's second-most shots (84) and goals (8), and is the leader in assists (9) this season. Peguy Ngatcha carries the team with a conference-high four goals, ranking 19th nationally, and has fired off the League's fourth-most shots with 17. Eric Lynch and Jackson Dietrich have helped in the scoring effort by tallying three assists apiece to rank in a tie for 24th in the nation.
Ryan Pignatiello has played all but one game this year as he has made 19 saves and owns a 1.73 goals-against-average. Joel Sundell received the start against Bowling Green and made five saves during the match.
UIC is positioned with a 15-11-5 record in the all-time series with Wright State and is 4-5-3 in game played in Dayton. Last season, the Flames captured a 2-1 victory on its home turf before the Raiders came away with a 2-1 win in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament.
