CHICAGO – The UIC women's volleyball team breezed past UMass Lowell Saturday morning, 3-1(25-14, 25-13, 25-8) in its first match of day two of the UIC Invitational. The Flames held the River Hawks to a mere 35 points across all three sets in their eleventh victory of the season.
Sophomore
Ali Witt earned the fifth-highest single-match hitting percentage in program history at .786 (11k-0e-14a). The mark is the highest of Witt's career and replaces her previously set career-high mark against USF (Sept. 10), when she hit for a clip of .750 to tie the seventh-highest hitting percentage in program history.
Senior
Alyssa Ehrhardt earned her fourth double-double on the season with 10 kills and 10 digs, while hitting at a clip of .348 (10k-2e-23a). Junior
Kyisha Hunt grabbed seven terminations and two digs, while also adding five block assists.
Senior
Kara Johnson dug out 14 attacks in the libero jersey, while redshirt junior
Nicole Johnson added seven digs to her 30 assists.
