UIC will shoot for its third straight win at home when the Flames (4-3) host Eastern Michigan (2-5) Friday evening. Tipoff at UIC Pavilion will be at 7:00 pm. A win would mark the team's longest home winning streak since they won four straight from the end of the 2014-15 season through the beginning of the 2015-16 campaign. It would also give UIC consecutive wins for the first time this season.
Starting Five
- Brittany Byrd took over the team scoring lead with an 18 point performance against Indiana Northwest that pushed her average to 14.3. Byrd is the Flames' leader in shot attempts and makes from the field overall and from three point range.
- Taylor Toney scored 15 points and had a game-high nine rebounds on Wednesday, despite playing a season low 29 minutes before fouling out. Toney added to her Horizon League-leading steal count with five against Indiana Northwest.
- Catera Etheridge joined Byrd and Toney in double figures, scoring 10 points against IUN. She tied for team high honors with four assists and leads the team in assists this season. It was the third time this year that three Flames scored at least 10 points in a game.
