ATLANTA- The UIC men's gymnastics team traveled to Atlanta, Ga. to take on conference rivals William & Mary at the 34th annual Peach Tree Invitational. The Flames finished the day with a final score of 376.950 falling short to the Tribe's total of 394.700.
"Our youth showed today," said head coach
Charley Nelson. "We'll have to be better if we want to beat this team in April. The good news is that we have the talent to do just that."
Senior co-captain Alex Dumstorf led the way for the Flames today scoring team bests on floor (14.200), pommel horse (11.800) and parallel bars (12.800). Senior
Jacob Thurber followed Dumstorf on floor after tallying a 13.300.

Christopher Root was a team best on rings and high bar earning a 13.800 and 13.150, respectively. Freshman
Victor Bello's score of 13.400 on vault was the team high followed by freshman
Satchel Hudson's tally of 13.300.
The Flames will return to action Feb. 26, when they welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers to the UIC Pavilion for a co-ed competition with the women's squad; the UIC women's gymnastics team will host the Western Michigan Broncos.
