CHICAGO -- UIC will hit the road for the final weekend of the 2016-17 regular season for two games with a stop first at Northern Kentucky on Friday, February 24. The game, which tips off at 6:30 p.m. CT, will be streamed on ESPN3 and available on the WatchESPN app.
The Flames (14-15, 7-9 Horizon League) will be playing the fourth of five games in 10 days when they step on the floor to face the Norse (19-10, 10-6 Horizon League) on Friday night. UIC began the span on February 17 with its fourth Horizon League road win of the season at Detroit Mercy. The Flames drilled 12 3-pointers at Oakland two days later, but the Golden Grizzlies powered past UIC, 87-75. The only home game came on Tuesday, Feb. 21 against the Green Bay Phoenix. Five Flames scored in double figures that night, but the Phoenix posted 56 points in the second to come from behind and win, 87-79.
Friday's game marks the second meeting of the season between UIC and NKU. The Norse created 23 turnovers and scored 26 points of those miscues en route to a 79-62 victory at the UIC Pavilion on Jan. 27. Three freshmen scored in double figures for the Flames that night, led by

Northern Kentucky is 6-2 since Jan. 27 and it has won five of its last six games. The Norse took down rival Wright State on Tuesday night, 83-76, to move into a tie for fourth place in the Horizon League standings. Four Norse average in double figures, led by sophomore Drew McDonald. He is averaging 15.9 points per game to go along with 7.6 rebounds a night.
