VALPARAISO, Ind. – For the 10th-consecutive time, the UIC women's tennis team (11-5, 2-1 HL) turned out a 7-0 win over Valparaiso (1-12, 0-3 HL) as it met with the Crusaders Saturday at the Courts of NWI.

The Flames picked up their sixth-straight doubles point with a sweep at all three positions.
Melika LeBlanc and
Rachel Le Comber improved to 8-3 with a 6-2 victory at No. 1, as
Georgie Sanders and
Stefana Vasic followed with their sixth win of the year at No. 3 with a 6-4 win.

The final match went to
Oana Manole and
Bianca Zuzu at No. 2 as they remain a perfect 3-0 after winning the tiebreaker in a 7-6 (6-1) decision.

In singles, UIC made quick work of Valpo as every match was decided in straight sets. Manole limited Kathleen Hebble to just one point in each set as she posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1.
Miranda Rodriguez Diaz de Leon then came up with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Randi Wind at No. 6.

LeBlanc held off Meg Modesto, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 3 as Le Comber followed with her team-best 11th win of the season and fourth straight in a 6-2, 6-4 decision at No. 5 over Dao Sysouvanh. Zuzu was able to shut out Jordan Kopfer in her second set of a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4, and Sanders completed the shutout with her 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 against Paige Heuer.

The Flames will close out their road swing next weekend when they head to Dayton, Ohio, for a 10 a.m. CT match against Wright State on Saturday (April 8) before taking to Highland Heights, Ky., to face Northern Kentucky on Sunday (April 9) at 10 a.m.
