CHICAGO – The final stretch of the regular season is upon UIC (3-12-1, 2-4-0 HL) as it hosts Green Bay (2-11-1, 0-5-1 HL) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. CT at Flames Field.

It is promotion night for UIC students as the first 200 in attendance will receive a free UIC women's soccer winter hat.

HORIZON LEAGUE STANDINGS
UIC is currently tied for sixth place in the Horizon League standings with Oakland with six points. After facing Green Bay (9th), the Flames still need to take on the Golden Grizzlies and Northern Kentucky (3rd). The top six teams advance to the postseason.

LAST TIME OUT
The Flames picked up their second conference win of the season Saturday (Oct. 13) when they came out on top, 3-2, in a double overtime match with Youngstown State, marking the fourth win in the all-time series with the Penguins.

Rebeca Pallo and
Tamae Douglas scored, with Douglas getting her second game-winner of the season, while
Emily Valentine, Pallo,
Emily Kavanaugh and
Megan Bowman contributed with assists. The three goals were the most scored by UIC this season while it also set a season-high in shots (27) and shots on goal (10).

POWER OF PALLO
On Monday (Oct. 15), Pallo was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career following a three-point performance, her first of the season, against YSU. She additionally tied for a team-high five shots with two on goal.

SEASON STAT LINE
With 168 shots overall, the Flames are fourth in the category among Horizon League teams, with 71 attempts reaching on goal. In conference action, 71 shots have been taken with 32 on goal. The effort has been led by Kavanaugh (31), Pallo (28),
Keri Birkenhead (17) and Douglas (16) as they have a combined 39 shots on goal. Kavanaugh and Pallo alone own 32 of the HL attempts with 18 on goal.

UIC is sitting with 14 goals this season and has seen seven come against conference foes. In League play, Kavanaugh paces the team with three goals and two assists as Douglas follows with a pair.

Coming off her first win of the season,
Tara Khayam has played the last 256 minutes in goal while she has racked up 753 on the year. She has made 41 saves overall while five have been in conference action, where she is 1-1-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
Green Bay has produced just two wins this season against Eastern Illinois, 3-2, and Northern Illinois, 1-0. Over the last seven matches, the Phoenix have gone 0-6-1 with the tie coming as a 0-0 draw against Oakland.

Green Bay has scored 10 goals on the year with two in conference play. Alycia Wright owns both of the tallies while she has three on the season with one assist. McKayla Kertscher has a team-high nine points (3G, 3A) as two of her helpers were on Wright's League goals. The team has taken 103 shots with 33 in conference action, led by 12 from Kertscher.

Goalkeeping duties have rotated between Kelly Kent (2.11 GAA), Courtney Klatt (2.14 GAA) and Taylor Reichow (2.75 GAA) with Klatt earning the most minutes and tallying 49 of the group's 77 saves. The trio has allowed 33 goals overall while 14 have been from conference opponents for a collective 2.22 HL GAA.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. GREEN BAY
The Flames stand out with a 3-1-0 record in the all-time series with the Phoenix as they have won the last three matches. Last season in Green Bay, UIC picked up a 2-1 win while they two victories prior both came as shutouts.
