Flames Rally, Win Third Straight

Team Wins Last Four Points to Stun IUPUI

Facing a 3-0 deficit, UIC rallied to defeat IUPUI, 4-3, after a stirring comeback at XS Tennis Village Saturday afternoon.  The Jaguars got three points in quick order but UIC maintained its composure and won key tiebreakers down the stretch to complete the comeback.

"We lost a tough doubles point with every match coming right down to the end," head coach Hans Neufeld said.  "After we got down 3-0, the team battled and earned a great team victory.  Johan lost a tough tiebreaker and pursued his opponent aggressively to take the clinching point."

The Flames improved to 3-1 in Horizon League play.  They have already won more conference matches than in any of the last six seasons.
