CHICAGO -- Registration is now open for Steve McClain Elite Basketball Camp, which is slated to take place on Sunday, August 5 at the Flames Athletic Center.

This camp is open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Since arriving in Chicago, McClain has helped to elevate the men's basketball program to new heights.  The 2017-18 campaign, the third with McClain at the helm, was one of the most successful seasons in more than a decade. The Flames won 20 games for the first time since the 2003-04 season, including 12 in Horizon League play en route to a third-place finish. UIC won nine consecutive true road games between January 4 and March 28, a program record. The year concluded with a memorable postseason run that saw the Flames win three games, including two away from home, and reach the championship game of the 10^th CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.

Over the past two seasons under McClain's guidance UIC has won 37 games and made back-to-back postseason appearances. There have been only three prior instances in program history that the Flames have won at least as many games in back-to-back seasons including: 1996-98 (37), 2001-03 (41) and 2002-04 (45). UIC advanced to postseason play in consecutive seasons for only the third time since 2001.
