@UICWBB Returns to the Road against Miami

Flames and RedHawks tipoff Tuesday at 11 a.m. CT

CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (0-6) will head back out on the road as it travels to Oxford, Ohio to take on Miami University (3-2). The Flames and RedHawks are set to tipoff at 11 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 26 inside Miami's Millett Hall.

LAST TIME OUT
  • UIC closed out its first homestand of the season with an 86-42 loss against No. 12 Florida State.
  • The Seminoles served as the Flames' third Power Five opponent in the last five games.
  • Tylah Lampley led all scorers with 20 points, just one point shy of her personal-best mark.
  • Jada Nneji was back in action and led the Flames with 11 rebounds, her first double-digit rebounding effort of the season. Nneji also made a pair of blocks and three steals.
  • Kimeira Burks finished with six points and six rebounds, while also making three steals.
SENIOR STATUS
  • UIC's lone senior, Tylah Lampley, has already shown early leadership, finishing as UIC's top scorer in four of their six games so far.
  • On Saturday against Florida State (Nov. 23) Lampley's 20 points was a game high.
  • Lampley led the Flames vs. Eastern Illinois (Nov. 16) with 14 points, and she also tallied three blocks and made a team-high five rebounds.
  • The senior once again led the squad against Indiana State, pouring in another 14-point showing. Lampley also tacked on seven rebounds and made a pair of blocks.
  • The Homewood, Ill. native is third in the League in blocks, averaging 1.3 stops per game. She also comes in at 19th in rebounds with an average of 5.2 boards per game.
KIM3IRA BURKS
  • Freshman Kimeira Burks has led the newcomers so far, becoming the first freshman to reach double digits with 11 points against Indiana State (Nov. 19).
  • Burks finished 3-of-5 beyond the arc against the Sycamores, her best showing from downtown so far.
  • Burks has at least one three in all but two outings so far.
  • The freshman ranks second in both three-point attempts (29) and makes (6).
  • Burks is also the team's runner-up in field goal makes (16) and total rebounds (29).
  • The Chicago native leads the squad with 12 steals, putting her at sixth in the Horizon League.
REDHAWKS ROUNDUP
  • Miami is sitting one game above the .500 mark at 3-2, most recently falling 79-68 against Bradley.
  • Lauren Dickerson is the team's top scorer, averaging 21.4 points per game.
  • Dickerson also paces the team with 16 assists.
  • Peyton Scott (13.8 ppg) and Savannah Kluesner (13.6 ppg) also average in double figures for the RedHawks.
  • Kelly McLaughlin averages 7.8 rebounds per game to lead the RedHawks, followed closely by Kluesner's 7.6 rebounds per game.
  • Last season UIC and Miami collided inside Credit Union 1 Arena. The Redhawks finished out on top, 65-56 to even the all-time series at two games apiece.

  • UIC will return from the Thanksgiving holiday with a city matchup against Chicago State on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
