UIC will reach the halfway point of the regular season Saturday when the Flames travel downstate for a dual meet at Illinois State.  It will be the second meet of the season against a Midwest Independent Conference foe, and the first of three in a four week span.  UIC topped Centenary in a quad meet on January 13.

Through the Rotations

• The Flames have taken first place in four straight meets, and have scored at least 195 points in their last three outings.  It is the first time since 2012 that the team has posted three or more 195s in a row.
• Alisa Sheremeta is the reigning MIC Newcomer of the Week.  She won floor with her second 9.9 of the season in last week's meet, and added two other top-three routines.
• Kayla Baddeley leads the team in vault average, and is second on beam to Riley Mahoney.
• Toni Alicke has the Flames' highest average on bars.

Last Time Out

• UIC defeated Eastern Michigan, 195.000-193.075, on Sunday.
• The Flames set a season high on floor (49.200) behind Sheremeta's career high-tying 9.900, Baddeley's career high 9.825, and Miki Northern's season high 9.875.
• Riley Mahoney won beam, and Serena Baker won bars.  Northern was the all-around champion.

Scouting the Redbirds

• Illinois State is coming off a loss to Central Michigan.  Previously, they defeated MIC rival Southeast Missouri in their lone conference meet so far.
• Gabrielle Cooke has four all-around wins.  She set a season high on beam last week and leads the Redbirds on vault and floor.
• Meredith LaRoche is the team's most consistent on bars, while Savannah Remkus and Kylie Meyer have the best scores on beam.
• The teams competed together in two meets last year.  The Flames placed higher than ISU at the Illinois Classic and at the MIC Championships.
