CHICAGO -- The UIC men's basketball team embarks on a season-long five-game roadtrip beginning Saturday, Jan. 18, at IUPUI. Tipoff inside the Indiana Farmers Coliseum is slated for 11 a.m. (CT) on ESPN3.
3 POINT PLAY
•   UIC picked up its second Horizon League victory with a 76-72 win over Wright State on Sunday, Jan. 12. The win handed the Raiders their first loss in conference play after starting 5-0.
Michael Diggins scored a game-high 20 points while Taruks Ferguson had his first double-double of the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
•   The Flames lead the conference in blocked shots per game with 3.95, while their 75 total blocks ranks second in the league. UIC's 75 blocks this year rank 60th nationally.

Tarkus Ferguson is one of two active players in Division I basketball with at least 1,300 career points, 600 career rebounds and 500 career assists. He is joined by Merrimack's Juvaris Hayes.
SERIES STUFF
•   Saturday's meeting is the eighth all-time between UIC and IUPUI and sixth since UIC moved to Division I. The Flames lead the all-time series, 6-1, and the DI portion of the series, 4-1.
•   The two teams split the season series last year, with both teams winning away from home. UIC dropped a 66-64 decision at hom on Jan. 4, 2019 before rebounding with a 76-75 win on Feb. 9.
•   Five Flames scored in double figures in UIC's road win, led by
Marcus Ottey's 13 points. After UIC led by as many 18 points in the first half, Ottey's bucket with 26.3 to go proved to be the game-winning basket.
•   Marcus Burk leads the Jaguars offensively, averaging 19 points per game.
ROAD WARRIORS
•   Saturday's game kicks off a season-long five-game roadtrip for the Flames. UIC will not return to Credit Union 1 Arena until a Feb. 6 contest against Milwaukee.
•   The Flames will end the season playing five of their final seven games in the comforts of their home arena.
TEAM REBOUNDING
•   UIC has employed a team rebounding effort this year, as no player averages more than six rebounds per contest and five different players average at least four boards per game.

Tarkus Ferguson leads the way with 5.1 rebounds per game and is joined by
Braelen Bridges (4.8), Â
Michael Diggins (4.3),
Jordan Blount (4.3) and
Godwin Boahen (4.1).
•   Eight different Flames have led the team in rebounding in games throughout the season, led by Boahen, Diggins and Bridges with four games each.
CLEAN THE GLASS
•   In UIC's 71-66 victory over Cleveland State on Dec. 28, the Flames dominated the rebounding battle. UIC outrebounded the Vikings, 36-21, marking the largest rebounding margin for the Flames this year (+15).
•   Individually,
Braelen Bridges recorded a game-high 13 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass.

Jordan Blount added seven rebounds, setting a season high for the senior in his third game back from injury.
•   UIC is now 5-2 on the year when winning the rebounding battle.
