CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (2-16, 1-6 HL) will continue its weekend in Wisconsin as it battles Horizon League foe Green Bay (8-10, 3-3 HL) on Sunday, Jan. 19. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. CT inside the Phoenix' Kress Center.
WITH A WIN, UIC WOULD:
- Improve to 3-16 on the season
- Win its second Horizon League game of the season
- Improve to 7-72 all-time against Green Bay
- Grab its first win over the Phoenix since 2010

LAST TIME OUT
- UIC dropped a 71-55 decision to Milwaukee on Friday afternoon.
- The Flames finished more efficient overall, but the Panthers were able to put up more shots, making 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from the field compared to 45.8 percent (22-of-48) for UIC.
- Freshman Kimeira Burks gave her strongest performance of the season so far, posting a career-high 19 points off a personal-best four threes.
- Tylah Lampley also finished in double figures for the Flames, putting up 12 points to go with eight rebounds. Lampley also passed out a team-high four assists to match her season high.
FLAME THROWER
- Freshman Kimeira Burks is making a statement in her first year as a Flame, leading the team in both three-point attempts (84), and makes (18).
- Burks is also third on the squad in points (124), makes (48) and rebounds (74).
- The Chicago native owns 22 steals this season, landing her in the League's top-15.
- The Freshman had her best showing of the season so far on Friday (Jan. 17) at Milwaukee, reeling in 19 points behind 7-of-14 shooting.
- Burks has banked at least one three in 10 outings so far. Her four threes against Milwaukee were a personal best.
- The first-year Flame is one of just three Flames to appear in every game so far.
- Burks became the first freshman to reach double digits on Nov. 19 with 11 points against Indiana State.
- Burks also tallied double-digit showings against Valparaiso (10 pts.) and Oakland (10 pts.).
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
- Green Bay is 8-10 on the season with a 3-3 record in Horizon League games after falling 54-42 on Friday night to first-place IUPUI.
- The Phoenix rank third in the Horizon League in both scoring offense (67.8 ppg) and field-goal percentage (41.2 percent).
- Green Bay leads the League in assist/turnover ratio at 1.41, and it also places second in turnover margin, averaging 11.2 turnovers compared to 13.9 for its opponents.
- Frankie Wurtz leads the Phoenix and ranks fourth in the conference with an average of 15.4 points per game. She also sits fourth in field goal percentage, making 41.7 percent of her shots overall.
- Madison Wolf handles the boards, ranking 12th in the League with an average of 6.2 rebounds per game.
- The Phoenix own a 72-6 advantage all-time over the Flames, winning the last 21 meetings.
