CHICAGO -- The UIC men's basketball team hits the road for the first time in conference play Friday (Dec. 3), as the Flames head north to take on Green Bay. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
3 POINT PLAY
• UIC fell to 1-1 in Horizon League action with a 70-64 setback to Youngstown State Monday (Dec. 30) evening.
Godwin Boahen scored a team-high 15 points in his second consecutive game off the bench while
Braelen Bridges had his third straight game with 10 or more points.
• The Flames lead the conference in blocked shots, swatting away 58 shots this year. Wright State is second-best, having only recorded 47 blocks this season.
•
Tarkus Ferguson is one of two active players in Division I basketball with at least 1,300 career points, 600 career rebounds and 500 career assists. He is joined by Merrimack's Juvaris Hayes.
SERIES STUFF
• Friday's meeting between the Phoenix and the Flames will be the 102 all-time meeting between the two programs and the 83rd since UIC transitioned to DI status.
• Green Bay leads the all-time series, 61-40, and owns a 45-37 advantage since UIC became a DI program.
• The Phoenix swept the season series a year ago in addition to defeating the Flames in the first round of the 2019 Horizon League Tournament. The three-game winning streak came on the heels of three consecutive victories in the series by UIC.
• Green Bay and UIC have matching 6-9 records and 1-1 marks in conference action. The Phoenix fell to Wright State before defeating Northern Kentucky in their first conference weekend.
• Amari Davis (15.5) and JayQuan McCloud (15.4) lead Green Bay's offense while Manny Patterson brings in 5.3 rebounds per game.
CLEAN THE GLASS
• In UIC's 71-66 victory over Cleveland State on Dec. 28, the Flames dominated the rebounding battle. UIC outrebounded the Vikings, 36-21, marking the largest rebounding margin for the Flames this year (+15).
• Individually,
Braelen Bridges recorded a game-high 13 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass.

Jordan Blount added seven rebounds, setting a season high for the senior in his third game back from injury.
• UIC improved to 4-1 on the year when winning the rebounding battle.
