CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (2-18, 1-8 HL) fell prey to the Horizon League's top-shooting team on Saturday afternoon, falling 88-49 to first-place IUPUI (14-6, 8-1 HL). The Jags put up opponent season highs in field-goal percentage (53.1 percent), three-point field goal percentage (45.2 percent) and three-point makes (14), while the Flames ended the day shooting 36.8 percent (21-of-57) overall in the loss.

First Half Highlights
- IUPUI won the tip off and scored first to start the game, 2-0. The Jaguars increased their lead by five with a 3-pointer and layup, 7-0. After a UIC timeout, Jada Nneji scored a layup to put the Flames on the board. Nneji continued to produce as she drove in for another layup after IUPUI put in four, 11-4.
- Tylah Lampley was able to end the Jaguars' 16-0 run with a layup, 29-10. However, IUPUI answered with a pair of jumpers to end the first quarter, 33-10.
- The battle continued as the Jaguars scored first to start the second period, 35-10. Lampley didn't let that go unanswered as she drove in for a layup, 35-12.
- With less than a minute left in the first half, Kimeira Burks fired a 3-pointer from downtown. A pair of freebies would be the last from IUPUI, as Tiana Jackson's jumper ended the second quarter, 53-25.
Second Half Highlights
- Nneji's layup ended the Jaguars' 11-0 run that started at the top of the second half. IUPUI continued to push as they scored a jumper, but back-to-back layups from the Flames would stop them.
- A jumper from Abreanna Lake and a shot from the charity stripe from Amira Coles ended the third period, 71-36.
- Kiara Thompson and Jackson scored first in the fourth quarter with layup and jumper, 71-40. Jackson continued to push as she converted a three-point play, 75-45.
- With 2:39 remaining in the second half, Lake fired a jumper. However, a layup and a free throw from IUPUI ended the game, 88-49.

- For the second straight game, Tiana Jackson led the team, tallying a career-high 14 points. She also led the team with six rebounds and a personal-best five assists.
- Amira Coles finished with personal bests in both points (7) and rebounds (5).
- UIC finished with 32 points in the paint compared to 38 for IUPUI.
- IUPUI got 18 points off the Flames' 18 turnovers, while UIC scored 13 points off the Jaguars' 11 turnovers.
- The Flames netted six points on the second chance compared five points from IUPUI.
- The Jags held the advantage in rebounds, 37-32.
