CHICAGO – UIC will open the home portion of its 2020-21 schedule at Credit Union 1 Arena on Saturday, Nov. 28 against Central Michigan at 6 p.m. The Chippewas will replace Trinity International in the UIC Basketball Invitational.

At this time, UIC will not host fans for home games at Credit Union 1 Arena due to current public health regulations. Flames fans can watch Saturday's game on ESPN3.

Saturday will mark the 10th meeting all-time between UIC and CMU, and the first since 2011. The Flames are 2-2 at home against the Chips since 1999. Central Michigan is the third nonconference opponent from the Mid-American Conference on UIC's docket this season. First-year head coach Luke Yaklich and the Flames also open the season at Northern Illinois on Nov. 25 and travel to Ball State on Dec. 5.

UIC's second home game, and the second game of the UIC Basketball Invitational, will be on Dec. 1 against former conference foe Valparaiso. That contest, which tips at 6 p.m., will also be available on ESPN3.

CMU and Valpo will meet to conclude the UIC Basketball Invitational on Dec. 12. UIC will play at both Valparaiso and Central Michigan during the 2021-22 season to conclude the home-and-home series with both schools.
