UIC won the doubles point for the first time this season, and
Kasper Parlklo won his fourth straight singles match, but Illinois State pulled together for a 4-3 win in Bloomington Saturday evening.
The Flames' doubles teams were shaken up from the lineup that had remained largely consistent the first month of the season. After winning two of the three doubles sets, the Flames had momentum when singles play started. Illinois State responded by taking two straight points. After UIC evened the score, the hosts won two straight again to clinch the match.
Parlklo improved to 4-2 on the season.
Anthony Nguyen also prevailed in singles play.
