SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UIC baseball team dropped its second game of a three-game series against UC Santa Barbara, 10-0, Saturday afternoon.

Joshua Figueroa and
Sean Dee all singled for the Flames.

UIC will look to take the series finale against the Gauchos on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. (CT).

How It Happened
- UC Santa Barbara pulled away in the second inning, scoring six runs on just two hits. The Gauchos capitalized on four walks as well as a hit by pitch to build its lead.
- The home team tacked on a run in the third and three more in the fourth to take a commanding 10-0 lead.
- UIC recorded singles in the fourth, seventh and eighth, but were never able to push the runner into scoring position.
- The Flames got its first scoring opportunity in the ninth when Lopez doubled with two outs, but he would be stranded a second to close out the game.
