UIC started strong in doubles play, but narrowly lost the point in their match at Marquette Sunday. The Golden Eagles seized the momentum to reel off wins on the singles courts, clinching the match.
"Kasper and Pelle had a strong doubles win at 1,"
Hans Neufeld said. "They competed well and held good court positions." A 7-5 loss at 3 doubles swung the point to the hosts, and the Flames did not get back on the board until
Luiz Dos Santos won his #6 singles match.
