Tamara Malazonia blanked their opponents Tiana Windbuchler and Elisabeth Desmarais in the No. 2 match, 6-0, but Marquette would take the next two matches to secure the doubles point. The No. 1 match had
Nell Arendt and
Lucie Prochazkova falling 6-2 to Andie Weise and Guilia Turconi, while the No. 3 match featuring
Agnes Gustafsson and
Tuva Wallin yielded the same result, 6-2, in favor of the Golden Eagles.
Singles Highlights
Georgia Gulin started off singles action for the Flames, taking a commanding 6-0, 6-1 straight-set win over Lara Kaiser to tie the match at one.
Ana Jover put the Flames ahead with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Elisabeth Desmarais at No. 4, but the Golden Eagles brought the match back to a tie in the No. 5 match, as Elizabeth Ferdman defeated
Tuva Wallin, 6-4, 6-1.
The No. 1 match went to the home team, as Tamara Malzonia took a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Giulia Turconi.
Lucie Prochazkova picked up a win at No. 3, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0, over Emilija Kojcic to tie it again, but Marquette's Andie Weise outlasted
Agnes Gustafsson in the No. 2 match, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to give the match to the Golden Eagles.
