UIC will play its final non-conference game at Notre Dame on Tuesday night.
The match will give the Flames a chance to test themselves against an ACC divisional leader, and, potentially, their third ranked opponent of the season. Notre Dame blanked #7 Pitt on Saturday and has won five in a row overall to bolster their case for the top 25. The United Soccer Coaches poll will be released Tuesday afternoon.
Last week was an up-and-down one for the Flames. They earned a quality win over league rival Wright State before suffering a rare home loss to Purdue Fort Wayne.
Younes Dayekh registered a brace against the Raiders, and now leads the team with seven goals.
Josiah Ash scored the game-winner on Wednesday, and had a team high three shots on Saturday against the Mastodons.
Notre Dame has won all three previous meetings between the teams, including a 1-0 decision in the second round of the 2006 NCAA tournament. This year, they have six clean sheets, after becoming the first team all year to shut out Pittsburgh. Jack Lynn leads the team in goals (6) and points (15). Bryan Dowd has a 1.13 goals-against average and a .618 save percentage.
The match can be seen on ACC Network Extra.
