CHICAGO – Career days from
Paola Santiago and
Martina Delucchi led the UIC volleyball team to its fourth consecutive victory as the Flames outlasted Purdue Fort Wayne, 3-2, Sunday afternoon.

Santiago set a career high with 26 kills while Delucchi added a career-best 24 kills as the duo combined for 50 of UIC's 75 kills.
Sohila Wafeek ran the offense to the tune of 47 assists, one shy of her career high which she set earlier this season. Delucchi and Wafeek added double-doubles to their tally Sunday with 12 and 11 digs, respectively.

The Flames battled to an opening-set 25-22 victory before falling into a 2-1 hole as the 'Dons took the next two sets. UIC battled back in dominating fashion, winning the fourth set by a 25-15 margin before blowing Purdue Fort Wayne out in the final set.

In the decisive fifth frame, the Flames scored the first three points and never looked back, cruising to a 15-4 victory and sealing the team's fourth consecutive win.

UIC hits the road for a pair of matches, beginning on Thursday, October 28, at Wright State.
