CHICAGO -- The UIC volleyball team closes out the regular season this weekend with a pair of road matches. The Flames will first face Youngstown State on Thursday, Nov. 11 before taking on Robert Morris on Friday, Nov. 12. Both matches will begin at 5 p.m. (CT).
Last Time Out
• The Flames closed out the home portion of its regular-season schedule with a pair of sweeps last weekend. UIC first defeated Oakland Friday evening before closing out the weekend with 3-0 victory over Cleveland State.

Santiago Repeats as #HLVB Player of the Week
•
Paola Santiago was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Oct. 27, earning the award for the second week in a row.
• Santiago matched a season high with five aces in a win over the Jaguars while adding 15 kills and 16 digs for her eighth double-double of the year.
• The San Juan, Puerto Rico, native then recorded a career-high 26 kills in the win over the Mastodons, the third-most kills by a Horizon League player this year.
• The Flames have had three total Player of the Week awards this year as
Martina Delucchi eanred the honors after being named to the All-Tournament Team of the UIC Invitational
• Delucchi led the team in kills in all three matches, finishing with a team-high 49 kills. Her 49 kills over the three matches were more than twice as many as the next closest Flame. For the weekend, Delucchi recorded 4.45 kills per set while matching the team lead with five aces.
Serve It Up
• The Flames have excelled all year from the service line, ranking 21st nationally with 169 aces on the year. As a team, UIC averages 1.78 per set, second-best in the conference and 33rd nationally.
• Against IUPUI, the Flames recorded a season-high 13 aces, the most in a Horizon League match this year.
• Individually,
Martina Delucchi ranks fifth in the Horizon League and 40th nationally with a team-leading 37 aces this year.
• Delucchi has seven matches this year with two or more aces, including a career-high five aces in UIC's match against Purdue Fort Wayne on Oct. 24, and has at least one ace in all but three matches this year.
Swing Away
• As a team, the UIC offense ranks second in the Horizon League and 44th nationally with 13.62 kills per set.
• As a result of their high-performing offense, UIC ranks second in the conference with 12.72 assists per set this year (30th nationally). The Flames' 1,294 assists this year are 40th most in the country.
• UIC has been averaging 36.62 attacks per set, second-most in the Horizon League and 55th nationally.
