Lena Kurz was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team for the second straight year.

Kurz, a graduate student pursuing a second master's in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment, has a perfect 4.0 GPA during her time at UIC.  Recently, she was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, also for the second year running.

Kurz is the second multiple-First Teamer in program history.  The Flames have had an Academic All-District performer in each of the last five seasons. 

She won the Senior CLASS Award last year for her achievements in the classroom, as well as on the field and in the community.  She is UIC's single-season and career leader in every significant goalkeeping category.

The First Team honorees from each of the eight districts nationwide advance to the Academic All-American voting.
