CHICAGO --Â UIC begins its #HLVB Championship run on Friday, Nov. 19, as the fourth-seeded Flames take on fifth-seeded Green Bay. First serve in Milwaukee is set for 7 p.m. This will be the second meeting between the Flames and the Phoenix this year, with UIC picking up a 3-0 home sweep on Sept. 28 in UIC's third Horizon League match of the year.
Paola Santiago recorded a double-double in the contest with 10 kills (tied for the team high) to go along with 11 digs.
Martina Delucchi added 10 kills while serving up four aces.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Flames closed out the regular season with a 3-1 win over Youngstown State and a 3-2 victory against Robert Morris last weekend.
• The pair of wins give UIC a four-match winning streak going into the Horizon League Championship while the Flames have won nine of their last 10 contests dating back to Oct. 17.

Salma Abdelhady had a career day, finishing with a career-high 24 kills. The 24 kills are tied for the sixth most by any Horizon League player in a conference match this season.
FLAMES GARNER ALL-LEAGUE HONORS
• Four Flames were recognized by the Horizon League's coaches on Thursday (Nov. 18) as the League announced its All-League honors for the 2021 season.

Paola Santiago was named All-League First Team for the second year in a row while
Martina Delucchi was also named to the First Team for her first-career All-League honor.

Sohila Wafeek collected her first yearly accolade as the setter was named All-League Second while
Salma Abdelhady was named to the All-Freshman Team.
SERVE IT UP
• The Flames have excelled all year from the service line, ranking 17th nationally with 189 aces on the year. As a team, UIC averages 1.77 per set, second-best in the conference and 31st nationally.
• Against IUPUI, the Flames recorded a season-high 17 aces, the third-most in a Horizon League match this year.
• Individually,
Martina Delucchi ranks fourth in the Horizon League and 30th nationally with a team-leading 41 aces this year.
• Delucchi has eight matches this year with two or more aces, including a career-high five aces in UIC's match against IUPUI on Oct. 21, and has at least one ace in all but five matches this year.
SWING AWAY
• As a team, the UIC offense ranks second in the Horizon League and 34th nationally with 13.77 kills per set.
• As a result of their high-performing offense, UIC ranks second in the conference with 12.82 assists per set this year (26th nationally). The Flames' 1,372 assists this year are 13th most in the country.
• UIC has recorded 1,473 total kills this year, 17th in Division I volleyball this year.
