Despite several tight battles and a spirited finish to several sets, UIC fell to Western Michigan 7-0 Friday evening.
"It was good to be back to full strength and see how we matched up against a very good MAC team,"
Hans Neufeld said. "We showed great energy in doubles. Gustavo and Luis fought hard in singles."
The Flames will recuperate on Saturday before facing Creighton Sunday morning.
