Creighton defeated UIC, 7-0, in a Valentine's Day match at Rush Copley Tennis Center in Aurora.

The Flames could not get much momentum going in doubles play, as Creighton captured two quick wins to clinch the point.  The match went Creighton's way after three straight-sets decisions in singles play, though the Flames pushed their Big East foes down the lineup.

After playing two matches in each of the season's first two weekends, UIC will scale back to one match per week for the next three weeks.

Doubles Results

• Pelle Strandberg and Luiz Dos Santos went down 6-1 at #1.
• Artem Iermolov and Casey Schrader fell, 6-2 at #3.
• Anthony Nguyen and Gustavo Schwebel were knotted at 3-3 when their set on the #2 court was called off.

Singles Results

• Iermolov was the first to finish when his match at #5 ended in a 6-2, 6-3 defeat.
• Nguyen was a 6-3, 6-1 victim in the #2 flight.
• When Strandberg finished on the wrong end of a 6-4, 6-1 match, the visitors clinched the team win.
• Schrader broke serve to win the second set, and took a 2-1 lead in the third.  His opponent rallied for a 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 win.
• Schwebel pushed the envelope in his second set, ultimately falling 6-3, 7-5.
• Dos Santos narrowly lost his first set, and then succumbed 7-6, 6-2.
