Cleveland State rode a wave of early victories to a 7-0 win over UIC, sweeping the two-match series, on Sunday. After taking the doubles point, the Vikings won quick singles points at #3 and #4. Two Flames challenged for victories on the singles courts, only to have the tiebreakers go the visitors' way.
The match was moved indoors on a cold, windy day in Chicago. The Flames will be on the road the next two weekends against league foes Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky.
