CHICAGO - The UIC volleyball team (11-1, 11-1 HL) completed its fifth series sweep of the season on Tuesday after defeating conference foe Green Bay (4-10, 4-10 HL) in three-straight sets (25-21, 25-23, 25-22). The Flames pulled off comeback wins in sets one and two and held off a late comeback attempt from the Phoenix in set three to complete the sweep and finish the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record at home. UIC's 11 conference wins are the most since joining the Horizon League and are tied for the most league wins in program history. The Flames also won 11 conference matches in 1993 as members of the Mid-Continent Conference.
Tuesday's match also served as Senior Day, as the Flames honored seniors

Set One Highlights
- The Flames had an early 6-2 lead, but a 5-0 run in the middle stages gave the Phoenix a 14-12 advantage.
- Another 5-0 Phoenix run later on extended the lead, 20-14.
- UIC put together an incredible 10-0 streak to take over the lead at set point, 24-20. Three aces from Martina Delucchi highlighted the run.
- A Flames error ended the long-winded run, but UIC got right back to business in the next point, as Paola Santiago buried a feed from Sohila Wafeek to end the set, 25-21.
Set Two Highlights
- Green Bay pulled ahead again in set two, 17-13.
- The Flames came within two after a Phoenix service error, a Mikala Henderson kill and a misplaced Green Bay attack put UIC on a 3-0 run, 19-17.
- Terminations from Santiago and Delucchi as well as a Santiago – Becca Oldendorf block tied the set at 21.
- Trailing by one, 23-22, the Flames took the last three points consecutively off an Alexandria Hicks kill, a Phoenix error and a Henderson – Jackie Yau block to run away with the set, 25-23.
Set Three Highlights
- It was the Flames who got the early lead in set three after a 6-0 run, 9-4.
- Green Bay threatened with a 5-1 series to come within one, 16-15, after two kills, an ace and a pair of UIC attack errors.
- Delucchi put down a kill, but the Phoenix scored the next two, tying the set at 17.
- UIC picked up three of the next four thanks to a pair of Delucchi kills, 20-18, but the Phoenix terminated the next two to tie it at 20.
- Woodard and Santiago put the Flames back in the lead, 22-20, but Green Bay struck again with a kill of their own, 22-21.
- Another Santiago kill joined up with an Oldendorf – Sohila Wafeek block to get the Flames to match point, 24-21.
- The Phoenix put down one more termination before Oldendorf would end it with a kill for UIC, 25-22.

- Tuesday's match marked the first series sweep for the Flames over Green Bay since 2014.
- Martina Delucchi led the Flames in both kills and digs for the second-straight match, turning in another double-double performance with 11 kills and 12 digs. Delucchi also made a pair of blocks
- Paola Santiago followed with 10 kills and five digs.
- Becca Oldendorf recorded eight kills and a pair of blocks.
- Zahria Woodard terminated six and made a team-high three blocks.
- Mikala Henderson finished with four kills and also made a team-high three blocks.
- Morgan Kull ended the match with 22 assists, while fellow setter Sohila Wafeek ended the day handing out 16 assists.
- Libero Jaclyn Oblena added 10 digs on defense.
- The Flames finished the match hitting .298 (50k-14e-121a) as a team. The Phoenix hit .261 (44k-15e-111a) as a squad.
- UIC finished with seven service aces compared to three for Green Bay. The Flames also had a slight edge in assists, 45-43, while the Phoenix had the slim advantage in digs, 49-48.
