@UIC_WTEN Makes Short Trip to Milwaukee This Weekend

Flames and Panthers will play on Saturday and Sunday

CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team (13-5, 5-1 HL) will make the short trip north this weekend for a pair of matches against Horizon League foe Milwaukee (10-5, 3-3 HL). The Flames and Panthers will play on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at the Panthers' River Glen Elite, with both matches set to begin at 1 p.m. CT.

UIC finished with a series split last weekend against Youngstown State, shutting out the Penguins 7-0 in the first match and coming up short in the finale, 4-3. The Flames' 5-1 record in Horizon League matches so far puts them at second in the conference standings, just behind Youngstown State's 7-1 conference record.

The Flames are 76-31 this season in singles matches, led by a 13-3 record from junior Ana Jover. Senior Georgia Gulin follows closely behind at 12-3 this season, while junior Nell Arendt boasts an 11-1 record in singles after winning her last nine-straight matches. In conference matches, UIC owns a hefty 28-8 advantage over its opponents in singles play.

In doubles, the Flames own twice as many wins as they do losses, putting together a 30-15 record this season against their opponents. Jover once again leads the Flames, boasting a 12-3 record when playing as part of a pair, while freshman Agnes Gustafsson follows with a 10-6 record in doubles.

Milwaukee picked up a pair of 5-2 wins over IUPUI last weekend, putting them at an even 3-3 so far this season in Horizon League matches. The Flames are 38-7 all-time against the Panthers, taking a 5-2 win when the two teams last met on April 14, 2019.
