CHICAGO -- The UIC men's basketball team renews an old rivalry on Saturday, Nov. 26, when UIC takes on former conference foe Green Bay on the road.
OPENING TIP
• Tipoff in Green Bay inside the Kress Center is slated for 6 p.m. Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN+
• The Flames improved to 4-2 on the season with a 2-1 record a the Tom Konchalski Classic this past weekend. After dropping their tournament opener to Fordham, the Flames bounced back with wins against Stonehill and Holy Cross.
• The Flames have excelled at defending the rim this season, ranking first in the Missouri Valley and 21st nationally with 6.3 blocks per game.
Cameron Fens' eight total blocks through two games are the most in the MVC and 27th nationally.
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN
• Saturday will mark the 109th meeting in the long-time series history between the Flames and Phoenix.
• Green Bay owns a 63-45 advantage in the series history but UIC swept the pair of meetings a season ago.
• The Phoenix, led by third-year head coach Will Ryan, enter the contest 0-5 on the season.
• This past weekend, Green Bay went to the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic, dropping contests to Queens and Utah Valley.
• Zae Blake leads the offense to the tune of 9.8 points per game while Clarence Cummings III averages 8.8 a contest.

• Through six games, the Flames have forced their opponents to commit 18 turnovers per game.
• UIC is first in the Missouri valley and 32nd nationally in the category.
• Against Loyola, the Flames forced the Ramblers to turn the ball over 25 times.

Tre Anderson took advantage of the free throw line in UIC's 67-60 victory over Jacksonville State.
• Of Anderson's 20 points, 15 came from the free throw line. Anderson would finish 15-for-20 from the charity stripe.
• The graduate student became the first Flame to make 15 or more free throws in a game since Kelsey Barlow vs. Wagner (17-of-19) on Nov. 27, 2013.
• Anderson's 15 made free throws are tied for the fifth most in UIC single-game history.
• 42.8% (39-of-91) of Anderson's points this year have been at the free throw line, with his 39 total makes ranking as the sixth most nationally. Anderson's 55 attempts are the second most in the country.
• As a team, the Flames rank 33rd in the country with 24.2 free throw attempts per game.
CAREER NIGHT FOR CARTER

Jace Carter had a career night against Jacksonville State, finishing with a career-high 22 points while matching his career best with 10 rebounds to collect his first collegiate double-double.
• Carter then followed up his career night two games later against Stonehill, scoring a career-high 28 points in the 77-71 victory. Carter was 10-for-14 from the field, and a perfect 100% on two-point attempts. Cater was 5-for-9 from deep and added seven rebounds.
