GREEN BAY, Wis. – Tre Anderson scored a season-high 25 points and dished out a game-high five assists as the UIC men's basketball team won its third game in a row with a 78-64 victory over Green Bay.

Anderson's 25-point performance in the wire-to-wire victory came on 8-for-13 shooting and a 7-for-9 night from the free throw line. He was one of three Flames to score in double figures, as
Jace Carter finished with 18 and
Toby Okani added 14 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

The Flames dominated down low, owning a 42-26 advantage in paint points. Converting on the easy paint points held the Flames shoot 52.9% from the field Saturday evening, the team's best field goal percentage this season. On 2-point field goals only, the Flames shot 68.8% from the floor.

UIC scored the first four points of the game and never looked back, leading for the final 39:22 of the contest. Green Bay was able to stick around throughout the first half, as UIC was only able to build a nine-point advantage. The lead would eventually be trimmed down to seven at the break, with UIC leading 36-29.

Back-to-back baskets by Okani and Carter opened the second half scoring for the Flames, pushing the lead to double digits. At only two points in the second half did Green Bay ever get within single digits, cutting the deficit to nine points on both occasions. The Flames countered with buckets of their own to push the lead back to double figures and would cruise the rest of the way.

UIC returns home for its first home game since November 14 on Wednesday, November 30 when the Flames welcome Missouri State to town in the first Missouri Valley Conference game in program history. Tipoff inside Credit Union 1 Arena is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
