The Flames conclude a quick two game homestand to start off the month of December, as the Loyola Ramblers are set to make the 12-mile drive to Credit Union 1 Arena to renew this crosstown rivalry Thursday.

The Flames now find themselves 6-1 overall and the best start for the program in years. After coming off another game coming down to the wire in their 75-71 overtime win against the Saint Thomas Tommies on Sunday, four out of their six victories were decided in the closing minutes.
These teams haven't met since back in November 2018. Overall, the teams have met 31 times dating back since 2000. The Flames currently lead in the series, 20-11 but the Ramblers have won four of the last six meetings.

Flames garner support in mid-major poll
- Due to a strong start to the season, the Flames are being recognized in the CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
- This poll is voted upon by head coaches at 31 mid-major schools.
- The last time the Flames received votes was after winning the Women's Basketball Invitational in March of 2014.
- The last time the Flames were ranked on this poll was back in February of 2014
 Dempsey-Toney continues to find her rhythm
- Ky Dempsey-Toney continues to have productive minutes as proven in their win over the Tommies. In just under 20 minutes, she scored 19 points, grabbed nine boards and 3 blocks. Those were career highs in points and blocks for the forward.
- Going 5-for-7 at the charity stripe Sunday, Dempsey-Toney matched her second-best free throw percentage in a game in her second season with the Flames at 71 %.
- In the last four games, Dempsey-Toney averaged 12 points and 5.75 rebounds per game for the Flames
- Now with a total of nine blocks to her name, Dempsey-Toney is currently ranked in the top 100 nationally.
Filer earns first double-double in Flames career
- In their win against the Tommies, Filer earned her first double-double with the Flames, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
- She has scored double figures in all but one of the games this season for the Flames
- Shooting at 61.2 % Filer is ranked 35th in the nation overall in field goal percentage.
- This is Filer's 14th double-double in her collegiate career, having 13 during her time in Omaha
 Rumblin' with the Ramblers
- The Ramblers have proven capable of making opponents pay for it at the foul line. They are landing 81.6% of their free throws as a team. The Ramblers are currently ranked 6th best in this category nationally.
- Offensively they are led by Maya Chandler. Averaging 13.7 PPG, Chandler has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. She also averages 40.9% from beyond the arc.
- Chandler is not the only one with the hot hand from three-point range. Anna Brown (48.3%), Sophia Nolan (42.9%) and Kira Chivers (41.7 %) all are proven effective with an open shot from deep.
- Defensively the Ramblers are ranked second in three-point defense, with shooters averaging 27% from the perimeter.
