CHICAGO – After just over a week off, the UIC men's basketball team returns to action in the Missouri Valley Conference Wednesday, as they are set to host Illinois State at Credit Union 1 Arena.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Live audio streaming will also be available through the "Listen Live" button on the schedule, as well as the blue box at the top of this story. The Voice of the Flames, Jonathan Hood, alongside Hall of Famer Kenny Williams, will have the call of the game on the Flames Network, available on UICFlames.com.
 
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN

• Wednesday's match-up at Credit Union 1 Arena will be the 26th all-time meeting between the two sides, with Illinois State holding a decided 17-8 all-time record against UIC.
• The Redbirds have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two sides, with UIC's last victory coming on Dec. 5, 2018 at home, 35 years to the day after the first ever match-up in 1983.
• Head coach Ryan Pedon's squad has had a strong start to his inaugural season as a head coach, posting an 8-2 record in the early going.
• Kendall Lewis leads the way offensively for Illinois State, averaging 12.7 points and 7.6 rebounds on the year, both team-leading numbers.
• Flames head coach Luke Yaklich will coach against his alma mater (1998) for the first time at UIC Wednesday night.
