CHICAGO – The Horizon League Board of Directors voted today to restore the eligibility of UIC student-athletes for all League championships the remainder of this year.
"On behalf of our student-athletes, we thank the Horizon League Board of Directors for reaching this decision," said UIC Director of Athletics
Michael Lipitz. "Our student-athletes are thrilled and appreciative to have the opportunity to fully participate in their respective sports as UIC completes its final year of membership."

Julie Roe Lach and members of the Board, which helped us achieve the best possible outcome for our student-athletes and for the League," said UIC Chancellor

"We also thank the Horizon League Board for allowing our voices to be heard, along with everyone who has supported us along the way. The Flames are so excited to be able to compete in the postseason!"
UIC's swimming and diving teams are now making arrangements to travel today to Indianapolis to compete in the Horizon League Championships this Wednesday through Saturday.
